Just back from a holiday trip to Beaujolais in France – a cautious 900 miles in 22 days – and on a much more modern and comfortable bike than the 1950s bike I’ll be using for LEJOG next June.
It was hilly country and very variable weather, from 39 degrees of heat to freezing downpours…

It was good preparation for LEJOG, withno repeat of my back trouble, but now the serious training and route planning needs to begin…
